Harry Koyama, born and raised in Hardin, Montana, began his formal art training at Montana State University-Billings receiving a Bachelors Degree with an Extended Art Major in 1972. Since that time Harry’s award winning artwork has been shown and collected extensively. A full-time painter, Koyama’s affinity for impressionism is portrayed in his dramatic works as he immortalizes subjects of the American West with the use of the palette knife and a bold color scheme.
This artist’s memberships include Oil Painters of America and the Oil Pastel Society with gallery representation in Montana and Wyoming. Harry is also a regular contributor to numerous charities and fundraisers including Ronald McDonald House Charities, Zoo Montana, Rocky Mountain College Student Scholarship Fund, Montana State University Billings Foundation, and more.
